Ottawa – Congratulations to Sgt. Shawn E. Harrison and Warrant Officer Bryan Keith for receiving the Meritorious Service Cross from Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, Governor General and Commander-in-Chief of Canada. The Meritorious Service Cross (Military Division) is awarded to individuals whose specific achievements have brought honour to the Canadian Forces and to Canada. They received their award for their heroic parachute rescue of a critically injured aircraft passenger in the Northwest Territories in January 2007. I commend these two fine men for their bravery and commitment to our country. |
